Most cemeteries require that caskets be placed in an outer burial receptacle (burial vault) that will withstand the weight and pressures of the earth above. A burial vault is a sealed outer container that houses the casket. In addition to protecting the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment, the burial vault also helps resist water and preserves the beauty of the cemetery by preventing the ground from settling.
Our vaults are constructed using quality structural concrete which is the basis for their strength and durability. Beauty and additional strength can be added with linings of stainless steel, copper or bronze metal. We also have available steel vaults which “air seal.”
